ASeTTS is inviting people with a passion for human rights to join our Board.
ASeTTS is Western Australia’s sole provider of counselling and support services to survivors of torture and trauma.
ASeTTS works within a human rights and social justice framework to help heal individuals, families and communities. We are part of a national network of organisations undertaking this work, funded primarily by the Commonwealth Government, in line with Australia’s international treaty commitments and obligations.
If you:
- support Australia’s refugee and asylum seeker program the recovery of refugee survivors of torture and trauma, and
- are keen to assist in the governance and leadership of a prominent not-for profit organisation
this could be the next chapter of your contribution to a more peaceful and just Australia.
People with the following experience and skills are strongly encouraged to apply:
- Lived experience as a refugee, asylum seeker, survivor of torture and trauma, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Professional experience and background in human resources, communications or law.
Previous experience on a not-for-profit Board is not a requirement. ASeTTS will provide governance training and direct support to new Board members.
