Our greatest asset is our people.
ASeTTS staff, contractors and volunteers represent a broad range of professions, cultural and language groups, and life experiences; many have lived experiences as migrants and refugees. They are compassionate and thoughtful in their work, and are powerful advocates for our clients at individual, service, and systems levels. We strive to maintain a vibrant, diverse, safe, and welcoming workplace, and place importance in investing in the ongoing professional development of our people.

Dr. Liza Beinart – Chief Executive Officer
Liza Beinart has dedicated her career to advancing social inclusion and promoting the voices of vulnerable populations. She began working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities in 2006, following a successful career as a journalist and the completion of her PhD in International Relations. Her early work in state policy, together with valuable field experience in Tanzania in 2007-8, deepened her commitment to multiculturalism and refugee settlement.
Liza has 16 years’ experience working in management with international not-for-profit organisations. She spent a decade at Save the Children, where she developed and managed programs for refugee women and children, young people, First Nations communities, incarcerated parents, and families facing parenting challenges. From 2019 to 2025 Liza was employed as a Senior Manager at Australian Red Cross, leading large, culturally diverse teams and overseeing migration support programs, including the Humanitarian Settlement Program and other initiatives supporting migrants in transition. She later managed Emergency Services programs, delivering preparedness and recovery initiatives to help Western Australians navigate disasters and emergencies in a changing climate. Liza is a strong advocate for social inclusion, substantive equality and refugee-related issues at both state and federal levels.
