Stories from CIVAL

For over a decade, the Community Innovators, Volunteers and Leaders (CIVAL) program has been a catalyst for change and nurturing the leadership potential of refugees and multicultural community members who work alongside refugee and refugee-like communities.

Funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs, CIVAL has empowered hundreds of emerging and established leaders to grow their skills, deepen their impact, and strengthen the communities they serve.

Alumni from previous cohorts have kindly shared their stories from their experiences in CIVAL and how they have used their learnings from the program to support their communities and work.
