On 26 June 2025, the Board of ASeTTS hosted our Art Exhibition and Networking Event, held in recognition of Refugee Week and the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

The event brought together clients, their families, staff, supporters, and stakeholders in a vibrant celebration of resilience and identity. Guests were treated to an amazing performance by the Echoes of Ukraine choir.

A highlight of the evening was a keynote address by Dr Carina Hoang, who shared her remarkable journey of arriving in Australia as a 16-year-old refugee from Vietnam. Her story of courage, survival, and determination left a lasting impression on all who attended.

The event also showcased an art exhibition featuring works submitted by clients, staff and community members. Each piece whether an expression of creativity or a deeply personal story spoke to themes of healing, identity, and hope. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the artists for their bravery and generosity in sharing their stories.

On behalf of ASeTTS and the Board, we thank everyone who made the evening so memorable. Special thanks to the Krishna Somers Charitable Trust, managed by Hall Chadwick, for their continued and generous support.
