
CIVAL is an educational program that supports current and emerging community leaders to develop their leadership knowledge and skills, and explore how to help their community in a more effective way.
The program will cover the following topics:
- Exploring leadership
- Communication and networking
- Trauma and self-care
- Incorporated associations
- Managing an association
- Finance management
- Conflict resolution
- Co-design
- Community Project Designing
- Planning a Project Evaluation
- Funding opportunities and writing a grant application
Who can attend:
People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds (CaLD). If you are from a community with newly arrived members, priority will be given to emerging leaders from these communities.
When:
Alternate Saturdays starting from 15th October 2022 (please see the schedule below).
Where:
ASeTTS Community Centre, 286 Beaufort Street, Perth
Language:
English (interpreting services are available for leaders from communities with newly arrived members).
Cost:
This is a free program (please note: lunch and refreshments will be provided). Participants will be provided with a certificate of graduation on completion of the program.
