Community Innovators, Volunteers and Leaders (CIVAL) Program

CIVAL is an educational program that supports current and emerging community leaders to develop their leadership knowledge and skills, and explore how to help their community in a more effective way.

The program will cover the following topics:

  • Exploring leadership
  • Communication and networking
  • Trauma and self-care
  • Incorporated associations
  • Managing an association
  • Finance management
  • Conflict resolution
  • Co-design
  • Community Project Designing
  • Planning a Project Evaluation
  • Funding opportunities and writing a grant application

Who can attend:
People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds (CaLD). If you are from a community with newly arrived members, priority will be given to emerging leaders from these communities.

When:
Alternate Saturdays starting from 15th October 2022 (please see the schedule below).

Where:
ASeTTS Community Centre, 286 Beaufort Street, Perth

Language:
English (interpreting services are available for leaders from communities with newly arrived members).

Cost:
This is a free program (please note: lunch and refreshments will be provided). Participants will be provided with a certificate of graduation on completion of the program.
