ASeTTS invites expression of interests for the 2023-2024 Community Innovators, Volunteers and Leaders (CIVAL) Program. The program recruits only 30 participants and as such, vacancies are limited. ASeTTS selects applicants that will take the most out of the program.
What is CIVAL?
CIVAL is an educational program that supports current and emerging community leaders to develop their leadership knowledge and skills, and explore how to help their community in a more effective way.
The program will cover the following topics:
- Exploring leadership,
- Communication and networking,
- Trauma and Self-care,
- Incorporated association, Managing an association,
- Finance Management,
- Conflict Resolution,
- Co-design,
- Community project designing,
- Planning a project evaluation, and
- Funding opportunities and writing a grant application.
Who can attend:
Refugees and people from multicultural communities who work with refugee and refugee-like backgrounds.
When:
Alternative Saturdays starting from the 28 October 2023 until – 8 June 2024.

Note: Participants will receive a Certificate at the CIVAL graduation on the 8 June 2024
